Type: Feature Layer

Description: This feature class shows traffic poles in the City of Santa Rosa, CA. These poles are either street light or traffic signal poles. Street lights are stored in the Traffic Fixtures table.According to Dana Kutches, there are no ID numbers physically on traffic signal only poles (poles that have no light on them).Note: On poles that have 2 lights on them, like along a road, the odd numbered (LegacyID) lights are typcially on the street side. All street light poles west of Burbank Ave on Sebastopol Rd have a single light on them (per Dana Kutches on 12/08/2021).Note: Dana said that pole Leagcy ID (Hansen UNITID) that start with a "C" are City-owned poles. He said that back in the 1960’s they started adding the “C” to the pole numbers and before that they didn’t have any letter in front. This made it easier to see which poles belonged to the City. Here is information about all the letters that being the Leagcy ID and what they mean:C = City Owned PoleM = City Owned Pole - no one on the light crew, as of March 2022, knows the meaning of the "M" but they are City Owned.P = Parks Department Light Pole or StructureR = Roseland Annexation PoleNote: The City typcially does not maintain the signal poles at the railroad crossings.
